Pittsburg Host Event Jim SHorkey KiaPlanning an event can be one of the most stressful things you experience in life. There are tight deadlines to plan around from multiple vendors, down payments, and it all needs to be arranged so that you are able to secure a venue for a certain date. Then, those other vendors need to be available as well. This first thing you’ll need to do is select a venue for your next event. The venue is the center of the arrangement, and this guide to the best venues in Pittsburg will help your next event go off without a hitch.

The August Wilson Center

If you’re hosting a large event or get together, the August Wilson Center is hard to beat. From an architectural standpoint, the venue cannot be topped. It features multiple event areas as well as a grand meeting hall with a capacity of 472. The smaller rooms are more customizable.

If you plan on booking the venue, plan on submitting applications at least 45 days in advance. This is the venue’s stated minimum, but the earlier the better. If you have a nonprofit organization, you will be able to access steep discounts in the booking rates, which is an added bonus for those who meet the parameters.

Zone 28

For a more casual, fun approach to your event, check out Zone 28. This is a great venue for parties and corporate team building days. While you won’t find an excess of meeting rooms and cold, modern spaces, you will find lots of fun memories ready to be made.

Zone 28 has several areas, each with its own theme and activity. For example, there is a bowling alley, a sports bar, an escape room, an arcade, and even a good old-fashioned laser tag course. If you want the bowling experience but aren’t interested in the white noise of a busy space, suite 28 has a few private lanes and comfortable seating ready for your use.

Olivia’s Banquet Hall

If you’re looking for the wedding reception of your dreams, Olivia’s banquet hall might be just what you’re looking for. It doesn’t have the massive appearance of the August Wilson Center and is far less corporate. Instead, you’re greeted with soft colors and a massive stone fireplace to center the room.

The venue has the ability to seat from 25 to 170 people, which makes it the perfect size for most weddings and family get-togethers. It also has the atmosphere to match it. The Victoria room is the largest available option and features a sizable seating area, a dance floor, and upper balcony. Smaller, more personal events can be held in Ann’s room, which holds between 25 and 70 people. It has an outdoor patio to enjoy the evenings when the weather is nice.

Whether you’re planning a birthday party, wedding reception, or annual corporate meeting, there’s a venue for you in the Pittsburgh Area. Planning an event isn’t as stressful when you have so many wonderful event venues to choose from, each with their own atmosphere and style.
